GULF COAST CHAPTER
Serving Houston-area nurses since 1972
AACN Houston is the local chapter of the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses, the largest specialty nursing organization in the world. We are joined by around 100,000 other AACN members around the world who care for the highly acute and critically ill patients and their families. Our mission is to provide education and community to nurses who live and work in the greater metropolitan Houston area, specifically in the Texas Medical Center, the largest medical complex in the world. The chapter meets every first Thursdays of the month in various venues around the city. No general monthly membership meetings in the months of June through August. The chapter will resume its regularly scheduled meetings in September.
With our organization’s mission always in mind, we strive to find new strategies in providing continuing nursing education to our members. Education is something that we take very seriously, and our team is working each and every day to make a positive impact. Join us in one of our monthly membership meetings to learn more about our commitment to this cause. Click here for more information.
We are dedicated to stepping up our efforts in addressing the issue of hunger in our city. Food Donation Drop-Off and Volunteering at the Food Bank is by no means an easy feat, but through cooperation and community empowerment through partnerships with other local not-for-profit organizations, we believe we can facilitate progress in this area.
