  • Understand incidence of patients with fragile skin and identify risk factors associated with use of medical adhesives.

  • Understand the different adhesive technologies and be able to apply patient characteristics and technical knowledge to choosing a tape

  • Demonstrate how to reduce the risk of skin damage by using good techniques to apply and remove tape and transparent adhesive dressings

  • Troubleshoot the common causes of impaired skin integrity under medical adhesives
